He was so focused and dedicated to get Sita Maata(mother) back he could not tolerate this wait time and unresponsiveness and then he roared saying

विनय न मानत जलधि जड़, गए तीनि दिन बीति।
बोले राम सकोप तब, भय बिनु होइ न प्रीति।।

Which means, listening to the request for 3 days the ocean did not respond,then said Sri Ram in anger , there is no love without fear
